About Me

Paula Karanja is a Nairobi-based Animation Filmmaker and Visual Artist.

​Specialising in Creative Direction and Art Direction for Animation, Games, XR, and Graphic Applications.

With a strong focus on allegorical storytelling, speculative writing and world-building, she crafts immersive visuals that push creative boundaries.

In addition to her creative work, Paula is an Animation Adjunct Lecturer, guiding and inspiring the next generation of filmmakers with a focus on Design, 2D Animation and Animation History.
